July Rally
Well, it finally happened!
We have managed to have rallies in spite of floods, rally grounds finding more profitable customers, little groups, groups too large for the facility, conflicts of interest and an assortment of other issues ....... but now .......
So now, we look forward to seeing everyone at the NEAR and if not there, the August rally hosted by the Howie and Pat Newman.

June Rally Highlights
The June Pen-NY Mixer Rally was held at the Penn Yan, NY. ViewAfterSave airgrounds. Our hosts were Nelson & Neena Hansen, Jim & Sharon Fairbrother, Phil Liberatore & Lury Wallenbeck, Paul & Celeste Page. There were thirty coaches, with nine arriving Thursday and parking at the Penn Yan bowling alley until we could get into the fairgrounds on Friday morning.
Friday started with three o-clock wine and cheese (in the dark) due to a power outage because of a storm,
the bang of thunder and torrential rain. Fish fry at the American Legion. We went in smaller groups to avoid a long wait. Back t
o the fairgrounds for birthday cake and ice cream provided by Sylvia for Ed’s seventieth. Camp fire and card games followed. The bang continued into Saturday with high temps expanding the balloon decorations until they blasted off like gun shots, one at a time throughout the day. Several visited the windmill and local shops. There was some horse activity and coach maintenance, a craft taught by Celeste Page. Dinner was catered by the Steve Owens’ family.

Fingerlakers Joint Rally
Having just returned from the York, NY Firemen's field and the Fingerlaker Rally, I thought we might touch on some highlights since 26 Pen-NY Mixers attended. With a total of 45 coaches attending, it was one of the largest turnout's for a rally we have had in several years. We had members from the Fingerlakers, Pen-NY Mixers and Niagara Frontier Travel
ers along with Sam and Pat Allen (Northeast Area President).
As always, there was plenty of good food, plus a scavenger hunt, and a road rally.
The highlight of the weekend was a "Grazing Dinner" at Bohn's Restaurant in Batavia to celebrate George and Milli
e Worden's 50th Wedding Anniversary. With over 200 attendees, many folks will not forget this rally f
or many years.
One highlight, among many, was a beautiful hand made quilt made by the Pen-NY Mixer members and presented by Sylvia Plaisted.
Happy Anniversary, George and Millie !!!!!Chapter Sponsorship
An RV park in Texas has offered to sponsor our rallies and provide special offers to members visiting them. The name is OASIS RV RESORT in AMERLLO, TX. They might be worth consideration during your travels west. Below is the note they sent to us with their current rates (same as their internet site).
"Oasis RV Resort (on I-40 just west of Amarillo, TX) is a first class resort www.myrvoasis.com. I'm sure with all your activities, every once in a while your members are travelling on Interstate 40, so while they are on their way to a rally or just on their own, your members will know they have a great place to stay. PEN-NY Mixers members will receive a $20 nightly rate (A Class), $17 (C Class/5th Wheels), $15 (Trailers/B Class)! Oasis RV Resort provides all paved roads, concrete pads, 75' X 40' sites, private bathrooms, pool, spas, clubhouse and rally room, but don't believe me, check us out at www.myrvparkreviews.com .
If there is anything we can do to make your members happy along the way, let us know. At the very least they can get caught up on their laundry--its FREE!! ?"
